Enigma People Solutions is recruiting an IC Design Centre Manager for our international client's Edinburgh design centre.

This is a significantly unique opportunity that rarely comes to market in the Edinburgh IC Design community. You will be attracted to the opportunity of managing a small but well established and growing design centre that currently employees around 20 people. This opportunity will interest someone who either views this as a step up or a step sideways to a freer and more autonomous environment that they can have a positive impact on.

This is an exciting and attractive company for a number of reasons.  It is successful and has carved out a niche turning around tailored projects for clients across a wide range of industry sectors so you will not get bored and the engineering team enjoys a variety of projects and challenges. You will be working with a strong team of senior engineers who are professional, engaged, collaborative and keen to work as a team to the betterment of the company. There is a great atmosphere and this still feels very much like a start-up so you will have the opportunity to make your mark in terms of implementing design flow and structures that a company at this stage of growth needs.

On offer is the chance to lead a brilliant team, work in interesting design challenges, be part of a fast paced and varied project portfolio and to stand up and be counted as the champion of a great Edinburgh Design Centre.

You will be responsible for managing and supporting all the activities associated with the concept, development and validation of analog RF, power and mixed signal IC projects. The company success is based on a design team that is able to quickly assess new design challenges, derive competitive solutions whilst optimizing the effort and cost to market. The Design Centre Manager will directly influence and drive new chip developments for the Scottish entity and continue the growth of the local team. The position reports to the company’s VP of Engineering based in California.

Manage the technical tasks of a medium size IC design team in line with the priorities given by the management team. The team is expected to grow from 16 to over 20 in 2019.
Support and drive the design team to define system level requirements and derive quick and effective design circuits to meet the design target within the scope of the projects.
